Throughout his career, Navin has honed his expertise in underwriting across all major classes of business, including Property, Motor, Pecuniary, Energy, Marine, Liability, Travel, and Personal Accident insurance. His comprehensive knowledge and skill set have made him a key figure in the company’s operations and a trusted advisor to clients.

 

Navin’s commitment to professional excellence is reflected in his impressive academic achievements. He holds an Advanced Diploma in Insurance (ACII) from the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) in London and an Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation from the American Insurance Institute. In addition to these qualifications, Navin was awarded the prestigious Alois Alzheimer Scholarship at Munich Re in Germany, where he spent six months deepening his understanding of insurance, reinsurance, and business principles under the guidance of global industry leaders.

 

In 2010, Navin further advanced his expertise by completing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Heriot-Watt University, equipping him with a strategic business perspective that complements his technical insurance skills.

 

Navin’s dedication to the field extends beyond his professional duties. He has conducted numerous in-house training sessions on various insurance classes and has shared his knowledge as a part-time lecturer in the Insurance and Risk Management Degree program at the University of the West Indies. His leadership in the industry is further demonstrated by his tenure as the former Chairman of the Attic Underwriting Committee, where he played a pivotal role in shaping underwriting standards and practices.
